What can we write and for whom?


 If I write a letter to my mom, she'll be so happy.

What's the thing?

Who's the receiver?


Thing = Direct Object

Receiver = Indirect object


I write a letter to my mom.

Ditransitve verb = Write


A ditransitive verb is a verb followed by two objects: the direct and the indirect.

Give + Direct object + to + Indirect object

Give it to me.


Give + Indirect object + Direct Object

Give me the bass line.


In most of the ditransitive verbs the position of the objects in the interchangeable.
